Lady Rebels beat St. John’s 4-3 to earn trip to State

The Lady Rebels celebrated after Thursday’s victory over St. John.

The Riverside Academy Lady Rebels had to rally in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 4-3 victory over St. John of Plaquemine, but the win secured the team a berth in the LHSAA State Tournament in Sulphur. Riverside, the No. 12 seed, will play the winner between No. 1 seed Calvary Baptist and No. 8 seed Opelousas Catholic. The State Tournament begins April 29 at Frasch Park in Sulphur.
