Riverside Academy students Kyle Wilson and Kelson Simon and Social Studies teacher Jon DeRoche are going fishing this weekend for a state championship.

The two members of the first Riverside Fishing Team qualified for the B.A.S.S State Championship, a two-day tournament to be held May 7-8 at Dorian’s Landing in Morgan City. Wilson and Simon qualified for the State Tournament by finishing seventh at their first ever B.A.S.S Tournament competition in February. They are coached by Mr. DeRoche.
