School and community were hit hard by Hurricane Ida

The entire River Parishes community was hit hard by Hurricane Ida on Aug. 29 and Riverside Academy was no exception. The 50-year old school in Reserve suffered extensive damage to the campus, including the roofs of several of the buildings, the inside of some classrooms, and many of the athletic facilities. In addition, faculty, staff, students and their families suffered losses from the Category 4 storm which devastated the area. Everyone is in recovery mode.

In order to defray some of the costs of repairing the campus, the school has started a several fundraising campaigns.  The school has paired with the following:
