Officially, it was the third week of the 2021 football season, but for Riverside, it was Week One.

After having the first two games of the season canceled because of Hurricane Ida, the Rebels got their season underway on Sept. 18 with a 54-0 loss to Carver at Pan American Stadium in New Orleans. The team only returned on practice on Sept. 13 and still had several players missing from the action. The Rebels managed on 84 yard on offense.

Riverside will play Southern Lab Thursday night at 7 p.m. at A.W. Mumford Stadium at Southern University in Baton Rouge.
