The Lady Rebels volleyball team got its 2022 season started this week with mixed results. After dropping their first two games they cam back and won their next two.

The Lady Rebels suffered tough losses against Lutcher (3-1) and East Ascension (3-1), but they defeated St. Thomas Aquinas (3-2) and St. James (3-0). Camryn Loving had 24 kills and 14 digs in the match against St. Thomas Aquinas, and 9 kills against East Ascension. Myracle Revon had 9 kills and 9 digs against Lutcher. Anna Mistretta had 16 digs against East Ascension.

Coach Brandi Melancon said she was happy with the results of the week.

“We scheduled tough this first week to give us a good idea of where we are as a team, ” Coach Melancon said. “We had a lot of good things happen defensively, but offensively we have a lot to work on.”

The Lady Rebels will host Thibodaux Tuesday, September 6th at 5 pm.
