The Riverside Academy Lady Rebels volleyball team went through a battle against the Thibodaux Tigers Tuesday evening, but came out with a 3-2 win. The marathon match lasted about two hours with the Lady Rebels outlasting the Tigers with scores of 23- 25, 26-21, 21-25, 25-16, 16-14.

“We were very happy with our level of play this Tuesday,”  Coach Brandi Melancon said. “We put it all together with our ball control and serve to receive. On defense, we were smart and on offense, we placed the ball and opened holes. We played a good program. We are really happy.”

Key players for Riverside were Myracle Revon and Camryn Loving who both finished with 13 kills. Loving also had 22 digs. Anna Mistretta had 18 digs, Chloe St. Pierre had 13 and Lanie Hymel had 12.

Riverside will compete in the Dutchtown Tournament this weekend.
