Five Swimmers Qualify For State

In the early morning of Saturday, hours before the homecoming dance, the Riverside Academy swim team produced more state qualifiers at Crawfish Aquatics in Baton Rouge.

There were five swimmers that qualified for state including:

Emma Babin — 100 Yard Breaststroke

Sophia Galvez — 100 Yard Freestyle

MaKayah LaRose — 200 Yard IM and 100 Yard Backstroke

Camryn Loving — 200 Yard Freestyle

Brody Vicknair — 100 Yard Backstroke

The swim team’s next meet will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 at St. James Aquatic Center in Lutcher. Come show your support for our swimmers!
