“Read me a story!” is a common phrase said by little kids. Riverside Academy’s littles are no exception, but they have special students to read to them — a Book Buddy.

Riverside’s Book Buddies program pairs third through fifth grade students with kindergarten through second grade students to read and do other ELA activities. It’s a win-win for all students said Elementary Supervisor Kristin Roccaforte.  

“This provides opportunities for the older students to practice with fluency and to build confidence in reading and speaking, as well as providing our older students with an opportunity to work as leaders,” she said.
