The Riverside Academy Lady Rebels cruised through Wednesday’s first round playoff game against Ascension Christian, taking a 3-0 win. Riverside will host St. Martin’s Episcopal today at 5 p.m. Admission is $8. Students will get in free.

The winner of today’s match will advance to next week’s State Tournament in Lafayette. Riverside is the No. 7 seed; St. Martin’s is No. 10. This is the first meeting of the teams this season. They were in the same district until this season.

Riverside defeated district rival Ascension Christian 25-6, 25-5, 26-24. Lanie Hymel served seven aces, five digs, two kills and two assists. Chloe St. Pierre had seven kills, 13 assists, seven digs and served four aces. Myracle Revon had seven kills, three aces and three digs.
