Riverside Senior softball pitcher Emily Vicknair has committed to Hinds Community College. She will officially sign a national letter of intent later in the year.

Vicknair missed the 2021-2022 season due to a shoulder injury. She will return to the lineup in the spring. 

“With senior year already flying by I knew the time to choose the college I wanted to continue my academics and athletics at was coming soon,” Vicknair said. “I toured a few colleges and received some offers, yet none had felt like the right fit for me. During late September I was invited to tour Hinds Community College. From the second we arrived there it already felt like home. The campus, the softball field, and atmosphere was beautiful and everyone was so welcoming. On October  15, I got a call informing me that I will be receiving the offer from Hinds. It’s safe to say I was more than excited and committed right away. I am beyond blessed and now I made the right decision for me.”
