Southern Sweetheart showcase to be held

The 2022-23 Southern Sweethearts showcase to be held.

Riverside Academy’s Southern Sweethearts will hold a showcase on Sunday, Jan. 8 at 1 p.m. in the school gymnasium. The Sweethearts are preparing for the American All-Star Competition in Lafayette to be held on Saturday, Jan. 14 and Sunday, Jan. 15. The  showcase will give friends and family a chance to preview the competition routines. Admission is free.

The dance team has seven members for the 2022-23 season. There are two veteran senior captains this year including Ariana Matt and Kaylee Oubre. Other members include: junior Aimee Duhe, sophmore Mia Sajias, sophmore Ella Champagne, sophmore Teryn Davis, and eighth grader Saylor DeRoche.
