Riverside Academy’s soccer teams had a tough week as they both played several district and home games at Mickey Roussel Field.

The girls team played in its second district game of the season on Friday, Jan. 6 losing to Houma Christian 5-0 on the road. The girls then played three home games. The team first beat Patrick Taylor 5-1 on Monday, Jan. 9. The girls played in another district game on Tuesday, Jan. 10, losing to Covenant Christian 5-1. The girls finished off the week on Wednesday, Jan. 11 losing to Liberty High School 3-2.

The boys team played in its second district game of the season on Friday, Jan. 6, losing to Houma Christian 5-1 on the road. The boys played three home games, tying with Patrick Taylor 0-0 on Monday, Jan. 9.  On Tuesday, Jan. 10, they lost to Covenant Christian 8-0. The boys  finished off the week on Wednesday, Jan. 11 losing to Liberty High School 4-1.

Both teams will compete at South Lafourche on Tuesday, Jan 17. The girls will play at 5 p.m. and the boys will play at 6 p.m.
