RA outdoor track opens the 2022-2023 season strong

The Riverside Academy outdoor track team opened the 2022-2023 season in its first meet on Friday, March 3 at Thibodaux High School then went to Joe Yenni Stadium on March 9 for a meet hosted by Kenner Discovery.

Here are the results from March 3.

Cleveland Johnson finished 3rd in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.69 and 1st in the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.44.

Scott White finished 3rd in discus with a throw of 120-7 and 1st in shot put with a throw of 48-3.

The girls 4×100 meter relay finished 9th with a time of 59.18, the girls 4×200 meter relay finished 9th with a time of 2:02.81, and the girls 4×400 meter relay finished 8th with a time of 5:24.85.

The boys 4×100 meter relay finished 2nd with a time of 44.32 and the 4×400 meter relay finished 6th with a time of 3:59.14.

Here are the results from March 8. Seven athletes finished in the top three of their events.

Cade Middleton won the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.92 and won the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.52.

Cleveland Johnson won the 400 meter dash with a time of 50.72.

Elijah Davis finished 2nd in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.37.

Amiree Alexander finished 3rd in the boys javelin with a throw of 126-07.00.

Scott White won the boys discus with a throw of 114-04.50 and won the shot put with a throw of 48-06.00.

Noah Trepagnier was second in the shot put with a throw of 43-6.50 (a personal best).

Kasey Bourgeois finished 3rd in the 1600 meter run with a time of 7:22.16 (a personal best).

Myracle Revon won the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 57.34.

The girls 4×100 meter relay finished 6th with a time of 1:01.76, 7th in the 4×200 meter relay with a time of 2:01.17, and 3rd in the girls 4×400 meter relay.

The boys 4×100 meter relay finished first with a time of 44.26 and the boys 4×200 finished 2nd with a time of 1:33.01.
