The Lady Rebels softball team advanced to the quarterfinal round of the Division I Select playoffs and will host Sacred Heart of Ville Platte Saturday at 4:30 p.m. A victory would send the team to the State Tournament in Sulphur next week for the 20th time, their sixth time in a row. The Rebels are the No. 2 seed with a record of 18-9.

Riverside advanced by defeating Delta Charter School 16-1 on Tuesday. Senior first baseman Alainah Felton hit two home runs in the game. Camryn Loving also hit a home run. The team now has 59 homers on the season, breaking last year’s record of 58.
