On Track to Regionals

Track team takes 2nd at District

Jaedon Butler and Mia Saijas were two of the several athletes who qualified for the Regional Meet.

The Riverside Academy outdoor track and field team finished second overall at the District 10-1A track meet on Wednesday, April 19 at Tad Gormley Stadium in New Orleans. Several athletes advanced to the Regional Meet, which will be held on Monday, April 24 at Ponchatoula Highschool including:

Whitney Hughes finished 4th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.88.

Mia Saijas finished 3rd in the 200 meter dash with a time of 28.31 and 4th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:09.15.

Myracle Revon finished 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 56.33.

Bayli Melancon finished 2nd in the high jump with a jump of 4-6 and 4th in long jump with a jump of 13-8.5.

Kayden Ceaser finished 4th in javelin with a throw of 67-2.

Imari Cooper finished 2nd in shot put with a throw of 27-4.75.

The girls 4×100 meter relay team finished 2nd with a time of 56.50. The girls 4×200 meter relay team finished 2nd with a time of 1:57.11. The girls 4×400 meter relay team finished 4th with a time of 5:05.31.

Cade Middleton finished 4th in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.20 and 3rd in the 200 meter dash with a time of 23.08.

Jaedon Butler finished 3rd in the 800 meter dash with a time of 2:23.25 and won the 300 meter hurdles with a time of 46.12.

Scott White won discus with a throw of 139-8 and shot put with a throw of 50-9.

Noah Trepagnier finished 4th in discus with a throw of 108-3 and 2nd in shot put with a throw of 42-10.5

The boys 4×200 relay team finished 1st with a time of 1:32.40. The boys 4×400 finished 2nd with a time of 3:58.62.
