Rebels stack All-District 10-1A softball, baseball teams

Riverside Academy’s softball and baseball teams recently completed very successful seasons. The Lady Rebels won the Division IV Select state championship; the baseball team reached the Division IV quarterfinals.

To no one’s surprise, several Rebel athletes were selected for All-District honors.

Making first team All-District 10-1A in softball were:

First team: Utility player Jaci Bordelon, utility player Camille Mistretta, outfielder Anna Mistretta, outfielder Lea St. Pierre, outfielder Chloe St. Pierre, catcher Olivia St. Pierre, third baseman Ava Fernandez,  second baseman Corrin Cashio, first baseman Alainah Felton, pitcher Emily Vicknair, pitcher Kylie Bordelon, pitcher Amber Palermo, shortstop Camryn Loving (MVP).

Named second team were:Iinfielder Jaci Bordelon, infielder Sophie Milioto, infielder Kenzie Granier, outfielder Brooke Bridges, outfielder Lanie Hymel, outfielder Sydney Knoy.

Cami LaRose received an honorable mention.

Tamra Regalo was named the Coach of the Year

Making first team All-district 10-1A in baseball were: infielder Brock Bourgeois, utility player Ayden Bullock, outfielder Dane Delaneuville, infielder Cameron Matt, outfielder Ryan Poche, infielder Jayce Ruiz, designated hitter Brody Vicknair, and pitcher Luke Hymel (MVP).

Named to the second team were Brennan Maus and Thomas Mazzella.

Marty Luquet was the Coach of the Year.
