The weather may be cooling off but things are heating up at Riverside Academy.
The Rebels football team will compete in a scrimmage against Ellender High School Friday, Aug. 18 at 7 p.m. at South Terrebonne.
“I am very excited to see what we are made of against a real opponent,” said Riverside head coach Lee Roussel. “The feel is different than last year. I think the guys are tougher and understand the expectations and how to practice not just from a scheme standpoint but from the little things.”
The Rebels will face Bogalusa in a jamboree at Archbishop Hannan on Aug. 24 at 7 p.m.
The Lady Rebels volleyball team will host Springfield for a scrimmage on Aug. 17 at 4:30 p.m.
The Rebels swim team has also stared practicing in preparation for its first meet on Sept. 9
