The Shreveport Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Sunday morning, tied to a domestic violence situation. The shooting, which caused damage to an apartment and a vehicle but resulted in no injuries, has led to the identification of Freddie L. James III as a suspect.
The Shooting Incident
Officers responded to reports of shots fired at an apartment complex around 4:40 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, police discovered that Freddie L. James III had arrived unannounced at his ex-girlfriend’s apartment.
According to authorities, James began banging on the door and fired multiple shots outside the residence, damaging both the apartment and a vehicle. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Suspect Identified and Warrant Issued
Police have issued an arrest warrant for James, charging him with illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. As the investigation continues, additional charges are expected. Authorities have warned that James is considered armed and dangerous, with a violent criminal history.
