A 63-year-old man, James Timothy Sullivan, has been arrested and extradited to Louisiana on charges related to online child exploitation. The Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) Cyber Crime Unit launched an investigation on August 5, 2025, after discovering that Sullivan had been communicating with someone he believed to be a minor for sexual purposes.
Details of the Investigation
According to the CPSO, Sullivan engaged in lewd and inappropriate online conversations with a person he believed to be a 16-year-old female. The conversations, which took place on two popular social media applications, involved Sullivan discussing explicit sexual acts that he claimed would be performed.
Arrest and Extradition
After CPSO investigators identified Sullivan as the suspect, they obtained an arrest warrant. Sullivan was apprehended by the Chickasaw County Sheriff’s Office in Mississippi without incident. He was later extradited to Concordia Parish on May 10, 2026, where he currently awaits a $100,000 bond.
