Authorities said 62-year-old Eddie Filce, a resident of Raceland, Louisiana, was taken into custody following a joint operation involving the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and Louisiana State Police.
Filce reportedly worked for the Louisiana Board of Regents for Higher Education.
Investigators claim he became the focus of an undercover operation aimed at identifying adults attempting to communicate with minors online.

Undercover Operation Led to Arrest

Investigators allege Filce communicated online with an undercover agent posing as a juvenile.

- Two counts of lewd and lascivious exhibition
- Five counts of transmitting harmful material to minors
- Five counts of harmful communication with a minor
- One count of using a computer to solicit illegal acts
Authorities said the charges stem from the alleged online interactions during the undercover investigation.
Held in Louisiana Jail Awaiting Extradition
Law enforcement officers arrested Filce on May 5 with assistance from Louisiana State Police.
He was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Jail and is currently being held on an $85,000 bond.
Officials said he is expected to be extradited to Florida to face prosecution.
