Donald Trump’s granddaughter, Kai Trump, has been granted court-ordered protection from an alleged stalker ahead of her college plans, RadarOnline.com reports.
Restraining Order Granted
The 19-year-old daughter of Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump filed for a restraining order in Palm Beach County, Florida, against 26-year-old Gabriel Garza Jr. Court documents obtained by TMZ show that a judge initially granted a temporary restraining order in April.
The order bars Garza from stalking, cyberstalking, or committing any criminal act that could cause physical harm or death. He is prohibited from coming within 500 feet of Kai’s home, workplace, and any events she attends, including her upcoming University of Miami campus this fall.
Order Extended
After a court hearing earlier this month, the restraining order was extended until May 2027. Garza was also ordered to surrender any firearms in his possession.
Alleged Stalker Details
In her filing, Kai described Garza as “homeless,” claiming he lives in a car in the Jupiter/Palm Beach County area. The hearing was originally set for April 30 but was postponed at Kai’s request because it conflicted with her last day of high school. The hearing was rescheduled to May 14, when the judge confirmed the restraining order’s continuation.
Previous Security Incidents
This is not the first security scare involving Kai. In 2025, Anthony Reyes was detained for allegedly trying to trespass at Mar-a-Lago with the intent to “marry Kai.” Reyes jumped over a fence but was apprehended and later sentenced to one year of probation.
Graduation Highlights
Kai graduated from The Benjamin School on May 15, 2026, and shared a behind-the-scenes look in a YouTube vlog uploaded on May 21. Her parents, Donald Jr. and Vanessa Trump, attended, along with several siblings and extended family members. Don Jr.’s fiancée, Bettina Anderson, was also present, sitting with Kai’s aunt Tiffany Trump and Tiffany’s husband, Michael Boulos.
Notably, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were absent, despite living about 90 minutes away in Indian Creek, Florida, with their three children.
