A 47-year-old Jonesboro man was arrested following a reported battery at a residence in Dubach, authorities said. The Dubach Police Department reported that Danyel Demeco Dunn was taken into custody around 7:16 p.m. on May 15 at a Hollis Road residence.
Details of the Incident
According to the arrest affidavit, officers responded to the residence following a complaint of battery. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with a woman who said she had been beaten by a man and that Dunn had blocked her from leaving the home.
The affidavit also reported that a male witness stated Dunn had attacked him. Dunn admitted to officers that he chased the man into nearby bushes but claimed he did not know anything about the assault on the woman. Officers noted visible marks on the male victim’s hands and arms consistent with a physical altercation.
Arrest and Booking
Danyel Dunn was advised of his rights and taken into custody. He was transported to the Lincoln Parish Detention Center and booked on a charge of simple battery. The investigation remains active, and police have not released additional details regarding the alleged initial assault.
