Dashcam Video Shared Online
The funny moment was recorded on a patrol unit’s dashcam and later posted by the sheriff’s office on social media.

Wet Roads Can Be Dangerous
Following the viral moment, officials also reminded drivers about the dangers of wet road conditions.
According to AAA Exchange, drivers should slow down during rainy weather and avoid sudden movements that could cause a vehicle to lose traction.
Officials also reminded drivers that in many states, headlights are legally required whenever windshield wipers are in use.
Safety Tips After a Crash
Authorities also advised drivers to remain inside their vehicles after a crash whenever possible and wait for police or emergency crews to arrive before getting out.
Rainy conditions can make roads, ditches, and grassy areas extremely slippery, creating additional hazards for both drivers and first responders.
Video Brings Laughs Online
While the incident could have ended badly, many people online were relieved the deputy was not hurt and found humor in the viral video. The clip has continued spreading across social media as viewers react to the deputy’s muddy fall during the rainy-day response.
