Three were arrested after meth was discovered during a Pearl River County traffic stop

Investigators with the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office arrested three people following a traffic stop on May 20 on Old Kiln Road.

Authorities said investigators with the department’s narcotics division stopped a vehicle and identified the driver as Raymond Devillier, 63, of Slidell, Louisiana.

Passengers in the vehicle were identified as Tammy Sorensen, 48, of Picayune and Martin Minks, 40, also of Picayune.

Suspected Methamphetamine Found During Search

According to investigators, officers developed probable cause to search the vehicle during the stop.

Authorities said the search resulted in the discovery of suspected methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

Passenger Had Outstanding Warrants

Investigators also learned that Martin Minks had active warrants through the sheriff’s office.

The warrants included charges for possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and trafficking a controlled substance.

All Three Taken Into Custody

Police said all three occupants were arrested without incident and transported to the Pearl River County Criminal Justice Facility.

David Allison said investigators remain focused on stopping illegal narcotics activity in the county.
