Four men were arrested in New Orleans on May 13 following a coordinated investigation into narcotics and violent crimes, including a drive-by shooting earlier this year.
The New Orleans Police Department said the arrests took place in the 1400 block of Annette Street after executing four high-risk search warrants and five vehicle searches.
Evidence Recovered
Authorities reported that the search yielded evidence related to a drive-by shooting on April 3 in the 1700 block of North Claiborne Avenue. Officers also seized:
- Seven firearms, including one stolen weapon
- Various amounts of fentanyl, methamphetamines, and marijuana
- Nearly $8,700 in cash
Arrests and Charges
The following individuals were charged:
- Shawn Major, 43 – Aggravated second-degree battery; possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance; possession of methamphetamines and fentanyl
- Tron Hughes, 46 – Two counts of aggravated second-degree battery; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; obstruction of justice
- Corey Major, 52 – Aggravated battery; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Lewis Wallace, 41 – Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance; possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl; possession of a stolen firearm
All four suspects were booked into the Orleans Justice Center following their arrests.
