Full Closure on LA 928 Begins Monday
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) confirmed that LA 928 will be fully closed between Serenity Lake Lane and Alligator Bayou Road. The closure will continue through April 27.
This section of Bluff Road is being shut down so workers can replace old and damaged culverts at Jim Bayou. Culverts are drainage pipes that allow water to pass under the road. They help prevent flooding and protect the road’s foundation.
According to DOTD, these drainage structures are nearly 60 years old and were found to be failing during a recent inspection.

- Turn right onto LA 74 northbound
- Drive to the signal at LA 928
- Turn right onto LA 928

Detour from LA 74
Drivers traveling from LA 74 should:
- Take LA 73 eastbound to U.S. 61
- Turn left onto U.S. 61 northbound
- Turn left onto LA 427 westbound
- Continue to the signal at LA 928
- Turn left onto LA 928
