The chase in Metairie ends with an overturned car on the Causeway Blvd off-ramp, according to JPSO

A high-speed chase in Metairie ended Friday evening when a car flipped over near the Causeway Boulevard off-ramp, Jefferson Parish authorities said.

Police Pursuit

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office (JPSO) said deputies were initially responding to a domestic battery call after receiving a description of the suspect’s vehicle. When deputies located the car, the driver refused to stop, leading them on a chase.

Crash on Causeway Boulevard

JPSO said deputies eventually called off the pursuit for safety reasons. However, the driver continued traveling and later crashed, causing the car to overturn near the Causeway Boulevard off-ramp.

Injuries and Charges

The driver suffered injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities said the driver will face charges related to the incident once released from medical care.
