  • An AR-15-style rifle
  • Marijuana and THC gummies
  • Drug paraphernalia

Troopers also discovered that three occupants of the vehicle were convicted felons. A total of five people were arrested in connection with this stop.

Stop on Chef Menteur Highway

Later that same day, Troop NOLA conducted another traffic stop on Chef Menteur Highway. Officers recovered 518 grams of marijuana, Tapentadol pills, packaging materials, and a firearm. Two people were arrested during this investigation.

Stolen Vehicle on the Westbank

On Thursday, troopers located a stolen Acura on the Westbank. The driver refused to stop, leading to a pursuit that ended when the vehicle became disabled. Both the driver and passenger attempted to flee, but the driver was captured after a short foot chase. Authorities also recovered a discarded handgun from the scene.
