A Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to state prison after admitting to a terrifying home invasion that left a young woman restrained in her own bedroom. The case gained attention due to the disturbing details uncovered during the investigation and the quick actions taken by police to track down the suspect using stolen AirPods.
Man Sentenced for Home Invasion and Burglary
Nafis Lamont Donte Fisher, 34, has been sentenced to 4½ to 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges connected to a home invasion that took place in October 2025.
The charges included burglary, aggravated assault, robbery, criminal trespassing, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and simple assault. In addition to the prison sentence, Fisher will serve five years of probation after his release.
The sentence was handed down following his guilty plea on June 1.
Woman Woke Up Restrained in Her Bedroom
According to the Bucks County District Attorney’s Office, the incident occurred on October 7, 2025, when police responded to a report of a burglary in progress.
Investigators said a 25-year-old woman woke up in the middle of the night to discover that she had been restrained on her bed by a man later identified as Fisher. The victim lived in the home with her mother and father, who was receiving hospice care at the time.
When the woman began screaming, Fisher reportedly released her from the restraints and fled the residence through the garage.
Suspect Encountered Victim’s Mother During Escape
As Fisher attempted to leave the property, he reportedly came into contact with the victim’s mother.
Authorities said a physical struggle occurred between Fisher and the woman before he managed to escape from the home. Despite the frightening encounter, police were quickly alerted and began searching for the suspect.
The incident left the family shaken and raised concerns about the safety of residents inside their own homes.
Stolen AirPods Help Police Locate Suspect
Before fleeing, Fisher allegedly stole several personal belongings belonging to the victim, including her AirPods, passport, identification card, and credit cards.
Police were able to use the victim’s phone and the “Find My” feature to track the location of the stolen AirPods. The technology led investigators directly to Fisher’s vehicle.
When officers arrived, they found Fisher asleep inside the car. To confirm their suspicions, they remotely activated the AirPods, causing them to emit a sound. The alert helped police identify the stolen property and take Fisher into custody.
He was arrested at the scene without further incident.
Investigators Found Disturbing Evidence
As the investigation continued, authorities uncovered additional evidence inside the victim’s bedroom.
According to prosecutors, a knife and a 12-foot rope were discovered on the bedside table. The findings raised serious concerns about the suspect’s intentions and added to the severity of the case.
Bucks County District Attorney Jennifer Schorn stated that the evidence suggested Fisher was specifically targeting the 25-year-old victim’s bedroom.
The discovery became a key part of the prosecution’s case against him.
Officials Call Crime Every Family’s Worst Nightmare
Law enforcement officials described the incident as a deeply disturbing crime that could have had even more serious consequences.
Upper Southampton Police Chief Dominic Varacallo said the case represented “every family’s worst nightmare,” referring to the violent intrusion into a private residence where family members expected to feel safe and secure.
The successful use of technology to track the stolen items played a crucial role in the swift arrest and prosecution of the suspect.
