Multiple Fire Departments Provide Mutual Aid

As part of standard emergency response procedures, other fire departments in Ascension Parish assisted with the incident.

The Geismar Volunteer Fire Department responded automatically as mutual aid to support the Gonzales Fire Department.

Additional assistance was provided by several volunteer departments, including:

  • Galvez Lake Volunteer Fire Department
  • Sorrento Volunteer Fire Department

These agencies helped provide manpower and support during the firefighting operation.

Large Emergency Response Team on Scene

Officials reported that approximately 26 personnel from assisting agencies responded to the fire. These responders were part of Ascension Parish Fire District 1.

In addition, around eight firefighters from the Gonzales Fire Department were also on scene managing the emergency.

The combined response allowed crews to work quickly and efficiently to handle the situation.

Despite the size of the emergency response, authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported.
