A serious crash in Livingston Parish left one person injured Tuesday afternoon after a vehicle struck a tree along a rural highway. Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene, and authorities temporarily blocked the roadway while they worked to assist the victim and investigate the incident.
Single-Vehicle Crash Reported on Highway 444
According to Louisiana State Police, the crash happened on March 10 along Highway 444 east of Louis Martin Road in Livingston Parish.
Troopers said the crash involved only one vehicle, which left the roadway and collided with a tree.
Authorities have not released details about the driver or whether anyone else was in the vehicle.
One Person Seriously Injured
Officials confirmed that one person was seriously injured in the crash.
Emergency responders provided medical assistance at the scene before preparing the victim for transport.
Due to the seriousness of the injuries, officials notified AirMed, which is often used for rapid medical transport in critical situations.
