Beautician finds out her fate after killing Kim Kardashian lookalike with backroom butt lift

A beautician has been found guilty of felony involuntary manslaughter in connection with the death of Christina Ashten Gourkani, an OnlyFans model and Kim Kardashian lookalike. Gourkani, 34, died after undergoing a dangerous backroom butt lift procedure performed by Vivian Alexandra Gomez, a non-medical professional.

The Illegal Procedure and Death

Christina Ashten Gourkani hired Vivian Gomez, 53, to perform an illegal gluteal silicone injection, a procedure meant to enhance the size of the buttocks. Gomez, who was not licensed to perform medical procedures, administered several injections during the procedure. Shortly after the injections, Gourkani began to experience complications and went into cardiac arrest.

The procedure took place in a hotel room in the Bay Area in April 2023. Gourkani was rushed to Mills Peninsula Hospital but tragically died the next day from respiratory failure and a pulmonary embolism.

Gomez’s Arrest and Trial

Gomez was arrested just hours after the death at Fort Lauderdale Airport. She was extradited to California and remained free until the trial began. On Monday, a San Mateo County jury convicted Gomez of felony involuntary manslaughter. Gomez now faces up to seven years in prison. Her sentencing hearing is scheduled for May 5, 2024.

Gourkani’s Family’s Heartbreak

Gourkani’s family shared their heartbreak in an online fundraiser, describing the “tragic phone call” they received from a family member, who was “hysterically crying” and saying, “Ashten is dying.” They said this call “shattered our world” and would “forever haunt our family.”

The fundraiser raised $6,607 before it was closed. The family described Gourkani as “such a caring and loving free spirit who always took the time to bring a smile to anyone’s face she crossed paths with.”

The Legacy of Ashten Gourkani

Despite her tragic death, Gourkani’s family said that her spirit would live on in the hearts of her loved ones. “Ashten’s spirit is a light that will forever carry on to her loved ones around her and those that she has left behind,” they shared.
