A Wisconsin woman, Tyiece Oninski, has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide after allegedly admitting to killing her 14-year-old daughter, Kuren Rein.

What Happened

According to the criminal complaint, Oninski called a non-emergency dispatch center on the morning of March 20 and reportedly told operators that she had “murdered” her daughter the night before. When asked if medical help was needed, she allegedly responded that her daughter was already dead.

Authorities from the Rock County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the family’s home in Turtle, Wisconsin, and found Kuren with multiple stab wounds. A knife and sheath were recovered at the scene. Oninski was also found with serious injuries to her neck and wrists, believed to be self-inflicted.

Disturbing Claims

During the call, Oninski allegedly claimed she killed her daughter to “protect” her, mentioning fears involving Elon Musk. Officials have not indicated any evidence supporting those claims.

Medical and Police Findings

After being taken to a hospital, Oninski reportedly tested positive for benzodiazepines, amphetamines, and THC. Investigators also noted that she asked whether her case had appeared in the news and was reportedly disappointed when told it had not.

Legal Status

Oninski has been formally charged and is currently being held in the Rock County Jail on a $1 million bond. Her next court appearance is scheduled for April 14.

Family Impact

Kuren Rein is survived by her older brother. A fundraiser has been created to help cover funeral expenses as the family deals with the tragedy.
