In a deeply disturbing case from suburban Illinois, a 30-year-old woman has been accused of carrying out a brutal triple murder involving the father of her children and his parents. Authorities describe the incident as calculated and shocking.
Accused and Victims Identified
The accused, Jenna Strouble 30, allegedly killed Jacob Lambert 32, the father of her two children.
She is also accused of murdering his parents, Patrick Forde and Stacy Forde, in a subsequent attack.
Chilling Details of the First Killing
According to investigators, Strouble lured Lambert into a car ride in the Chicago suburbs under the pretext of spending time together.
Court documents allege she offered him a “surprise” back massage while he reclined in the passenger seat. She reportedly massaged him for nearly 20 minutes before pulling out a concealed handgun.
Authorities state she held a pistol — identified as a Glock 19 fitted with a suppressor — to the back of his head for several minutes before firing at point-blank range.
Attack on the Victim’s Parents
After the first killing, Strouble allegedly drove to Lambert’s parents’ home in Crete Township.
When Patrick Forde opened the door, she reportedly fired multiple shots at him. Moments later, as Stacy Forde came downstairs, she too was shot multiple times. Both victims died from their injuries.
Alleged Motive Behind the Crime
According to court filings, Strouble told authorities she was unhappy with how Lambert spoke to their children. She also reportedly described his parents as “overbearing.”
Investigators are examining these claims as part of the motive, though the brutality and sequence of events have raised serious questions about premeditation.
Arrest and Evidence Recovery
Following the shootings, Strouble fled to St. John, Indiana, where she was arrested by police.
Officers recovered a firearm believed to be the same weapon used in all three killings, strengthening the case against her.
Legal Charges and Possible Sentence
Strouble has been charged with nine counts of first-degree murder and was scheduled to appear in court shortly after her arrest.
If convicted, she could face life imprisonment under Illinois law.
Community in Shock
The case has left the local community shaken, with authorities describing it as an extremely rare and violent family-related crime. Investigations are ongoing as more details emerge.
