Live Oak High School was placed on lockdown Friday morning after authorities responded to a reported threat, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Threatening Call Prompts Response
Officials said the school received a threatening call around 9 a.m., leading administrators to initiate a lockdown as a precautionary measure.
Deputies Investigate Campus
Law enforcement officers arrived on campus shortly after and began investigating the situation. Authorities stated that, at this time, there is no evidence suggesting the threat is credible.
Lockdown Maintained as Precaution
Despite the lack of confirmed danger, the school remained on lockdown while deputies continued their investigation to ensure the safety of students and staff.
