Police in New Orleans are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect involved in a reckless driving case. The incident is the latest to be featured on the department’s well-known “Wheel of Justice,” which highlights unsolved cases and seeks tips from the community.
Reckless Driving Incident in New Orleans
According to the New Orleans Police Department, the incident took place around 6:30 p.m. on April 12. It happened at the busy intersection of Esplanade Avenue and North Claiborne Avenue.
Police said the driver was performing dangerous stunts, commonly known as “donuts,” where a car spins in circles at high speed. This kind of driving can be extremely risky, especially in public areas, as it puts pedestrians and other drivers in danger.
Evidence Still Visible at the Scene
Even days after the incident, clear signs of the reckless driving could still be seen at the intersection. Circular and zigzag tyre marks were visible on the road, showing how the car had been driven in repeated loops.
These marks not only highlight the seriousness of the incident but also show how dangerous the situation could have been for anyone nearby.
Suspect and Vehicle Details
Police have released images of the suspected driver along with the vehicle believed to be involved. Authorities say the car is a 2022 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible.
They are now urging anyone who recognises the driver or has information about the case to come forward and help with the investigation.
