KALB has learned that the former Chief of Police for the Village of Elizabeth, Katrina Ford, was arrested in Oakdale on April 24.

Arrest Details

According to booking information from the Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ford, 54, was taken into custody around 1:30 p.m. on Friday. She was charged with domestic abuse and aggravated assault. The Oakdale Police Department was the arresting agency, and Ford’s bond was set at $15,000.

She was released from custody at approximately 4:30 p.m. on the same day.

Ford’s Background as Chief of Police

Public records indicate that Katrina Santamaria Ford served as the Chief of Police for the Village of Elizabeth between 2020 and 2022. Currently, Shane Ware holds the position of chief of police.

Confirmation from Authorities

Allen Parish Sheriff Doug Hebert confirmed Ford’s arrest to KALB.

The Oakdale Police Department has been contacted for further details, and the Village of Elizabeth has also been reached out to for comment. However, no response has been received yet.
