A tragic incident from Livingston Parish has left authorities searching for answers, as they try to identify a man who lost his life in a bicycle crash. The case has become urgent because the victim had no identification, and officials are now asking for help from the public.
What Happened Early Tuesday Morning
According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a crash around 4 a.m. The accident involved a bicycle and a vehicle on James Chapel Road North near Gordon Lane.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the bicyclist had died due to injuries from the crash. The exact circumstances of how the accident happened are still under investigation.
Details About the Victim
Authorities shared that the man was only wearing blue jeans at the time of the incident and did not have any form of identification with him. This has made it difficult for officials to confirm his identity.
Jason Ard said that people living nearby had seen the man riding along James Chapel Road many times before. However, no one seemed to know who he was.
Physical Description and Bicycle Details
The man is described as a white male, likely in his 40s, with dark hair and a black-and-white goatee. He also has a tattoo on his right shoulder written in Old English-style lettering.
At the time of the crash, he was riding a pastel yellow Peria bicycle. Authorities are hoping that someone may recognise either the bicycle or the description of the man and come forward with information.
Ongoing Investigation and Public Appeal
The investigation is still ongoing, and officials are working to locate the man’s family so they can be informed.
