Isa Briones, known for her role in The Pitt, has expressed frustration with Broadway audiences during her performances in the musical Just In Time. In a recent Instagram Story, Briones called out audience members who were yelling inappropriate comments at her while she was performing, labeling the behavior as “f–king disrespectful.”
Briones’ Instagram Message
In her post, Briones addressed the disruptive audience behavior, writing:
“Hey, hey, hey! Once again, Broadway is not a circus. Do not yell whatever you want at the performers. Yelling ‘when are you going to finish your charts’ before I sing ‘Who’s Sorry Now?’ is f–king disrespectful to the performers onstage and your fellow audience members. Y’all are pissin’ me off.”
She continued, adding a call for kindness and respect:
“Love and light and please remember you are occupying shared spaces and watching art.”
Briones’ Broadway Career
Isa Briones made her Broadway debut in 2024 with the musical Hadestown and joined the cast of Just In Time in April 2026, taking over the role from Gracie Lawrence. In the show, Briones portrays Dr. Santos, a character known for her strong personality and dedication to completing her charts on time—an important plot point in the show’s second season.
Her current role follows a highly successful TV career. The Pitt, in which she stars as Dr. Santos, was a critical hit, with the first season receiving 13 Emmy nominations and winning five, including awards for outstanding drama series and outstanding lead actor for Noah Wyle. The show’s second season premiered on January 8, 2026.
Call for Respect
Briones’ message highlights the need for audiences to respect the performers and the art they are creating on stage. As she pointed out, Broadway is not a space for disruptive behavior, and yelling at performers or making disrespectful comments can spoil the experience for both the artists and the rest of the audience.
