Labadieville, LA – Assumption Parish deputies have arrested 22-year-old Gabrielle Oubre on multiple felony charges after she allegedly struck a deputy with her car door during an altercation at an apartment complex on Monday.
Incident Details
Deputies were initially called to the Labadieville apartment complex after receiving reports of a disturbance between two neighbors. As deputies were gathering information, Oubre arrived at the scene with another individual. Authorities believe she was called to participate in the escalating argument.
When deputies instructed Oubre to leave the premises, she refused to comply with their orders. Instead of leaving, deputies say Oubre pushed her car door open and struck a deputy.
Charges Filed
Following the incident, Oubre was arrested and charged with the following:
- Battery of a police officer
- Remaining after being forbidden
- Resisting an officer
- Disturbing the peace
Oubre was taken into custody and is facing felony charges for her actions against the deputy.
