Charges Against Tamara Eaton and Michael Tinsley
Tamara Eaton, 47, and Michael Tinsley, 39, are facing serious charges related to the neglect of a dependent, which resulted in bodily injury. Additionally, Tinsley is facing a separate charge for possession of marijuana, due to a prior drug conviction. Horrific Conditions Discovered in the Evansville Home
The incident unfolded on Sunday when the defendants, who were reportedly caring for Tinsley’s brother — a man with autism — at a home on West Missouri Street in Evansville, were confronted by authorities. The man’s mother had recently passed away, and his sister, who was concerned for his well-being, contacted authorities from out of state.
Upon arrival, police found themselves locked out as Eaton claimed that adult protective services had already intervened. Despite this, officers were not allowed to enter and were forced to leave. However, days later, an employee from a medical device company reported that the conditions at the home were unsafe, prompting police to return.
Wounds and Filth Found Inside the Home
When authorities gained entry into the home, they discovered the victim lying on the couch with a blanket stuck to multiple open wounds on his feet. Further investigation revealed that he also had a burn on his arm and was showing clear signs of malnutrition.
