Although the heaviest rain from today’s storms has moved out of the area, pop-up showers and thunderstorms are still possible this evening. Temperatures will dip into the 60s overnight, with some areas seeing lows around 68°F.
Saturday: Scattered Thunderstorms and Flooding Risk
By Saturday afternoon, expect scattered thunderstorms with heavy downpours and frequent lightning. Flooding concerns will rise once again, and the threat of damaging winds from severe weather is possible. Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches are expected through Mother’s Day, with locally higher amounts possible in some areas. Highs on Saturday will reach around 78°F.
Mother’s Day: Showers and Thunderstorms
On Mother’s Day, the region will see more showers and thunderstorms, with temperatures reaching around 82°F. Be prepared for potential rain throughout the day, with conditions similar to those on Saturday.
Monday: Showers Clearing, Sun Emerging
A few leftover showers will linger early on Monday, but the weather should improve later in the day with patches of sunshine. Highs will be in the low 80s.
Sunny Week Ahead: Warming Temperatures by Midweek
