A deputy from the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office has been arrested after a domestic abuse complaint was filed against him. Deputy Mason Gros, 26, was taken into custody following an investigation into a physical altercation that allegedly occurred within Ruston city limits.
Investigation and Immediate Actions
On May 6, 2026, the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified of the domestic incident, which reportedly took place over the weekend. The complainant, in a relationship with Gros, reported the incident, prompting immediate action from law enforcement.
Upon receiving the complaint, the Ruston Police Department was alerted, initiating a criminal investigation. Concurrently, the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs Division began conducting an administrative investigation into the matter.
Arrest and Termination
After probable cause was established during the investigation, an arrest warrant was signed by a Third Judicial District Judge. Gros was terminated from his position with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office and booked into the Lincoln Parish Detention Center on a count of domestic abuse battery.
