Five individuals have been arrested in connection with a homicide that occurred on March 31, 2026, in Morehouse Parish. According to the Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office (MPSO), the arrests were made following a shooting incident that led to the discovery of a body in a parked car on Garfield Street.
Charges Filed Against the Suspects
The following individuals were arrested as part of the investigation:
- Timmy L. Kitchen, 22, has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
- Jontaye Takavionlydell Wilson, 21, has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
- Zykweem Broadway, 18, has been charged with attempted second-degree murder.
- Two juveniles, whose names have not been disclosed, each face charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.
Investigation and Evidence Collected
In connection with the shooting, MPSO investigators collected six firearms, including one equipped with a ghost switch, making it fully automatic. The investigation is ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the circumstances surrounding the crime.
