The Riverside Academy football team was ready for action as it travelled to Bourg on Aug. 19 for a pre-season scrimmage against the Ellender Patriots.

The Rebels dominated their opponent, scoring five touchdowns against a team that outscored them last year.

Elijah “Bill” Davis scored three touchdowns two rushing and one receiving from quarterback Luke Hymel. Cade Middleton caught two touchdown passes from Hymel one for 60 yards and another for 75.

Riverside will travel to Archbishop Hannan for a Friday jamboree game at 7 p.m.. The Rebels will open the season Friday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. at home against Thomas Jefferson.
