RA To Go Virtual Thursday, Friday

Due to the increasing spread of flu and other viruses at Riverside Academy, which has sent absentee rates soaring, the school will go to “virtual” learning on Thursday, Nov. 10 and Friday, Nov. 11, Principal Holly Haase announced Wednesday. The building will be cleaned and sanitized during the closure.

Teachers in Pre-K through fifth grade will send work home with students to be completed. Teachers in 6-12 grades will upload student assignments to Plus Portals and Google Classroom, which will be turned in and graded to count for attendance. Teachers will be available to answer questions via email and/or Google Classroom.

The volleyball team still will participate in the State Tournament in Lafayette on Thursday, but the student bus has been canceled. Money collected earlier this week will be returned.

The Middle School Dance that was scheduled for Saturday has been postponed to a later date to be determined.
