Students enjoyed a taste of the Caribbean at Arts Fest.

Riverside Academy took a trip to Caribbean at the annual Arts Fest held on Thursday, March 16 in the courtyard. This year’s festivities showcased the food and culture of the Caribbean islands with special food dishes, student art, and tropical performances.

The night kicked off with with the annual Bahama “Junkanoo” Parade featuring the fifth graders in decorated golf carts and the Marching Pride of Riverside. The band performed songs from Queen, The Beatles, Adele, and The Weekend. There also were performances by the kindergarten, first grade, second grade, third grade and fourth grade classes, as well as one by RA Ovations. There was also a performance by the Bamboo Boat Band and Steel Drum Band.

There were delicious Caribbean dishes, such as Jamaican Jerk chicken wings, Cuban Three Bean Salad, Puerto Rican Empanadas and Caribbean Confetti Rice.
