Rebels achieve personal bests at Lutcher meet

Scott White was named the Most Valuable Field Events Male at the Derbigny Relays held March 22 at Lutcher.

The Riverside Academy track team had a strong showing as it competed in the Derbigny Relays at Lutcher High School on Wednesday, March 22. Four RA athletes finished in the top three in their events and several achieved personal bests in their events.

Scott White won the shot put with a throw of 49-03 and was second in the discus with a throw of 121-00 (a personal best). He was named Most Valuable Field Athlete.

Cade Middleton finished second in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 22.89 (a personal best) and finished fourth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.27.

Noah Trepagnier finished third in discus with a throw of 116-01 (a personal best).

Bayli Melancon finished third in high jump with a height of 4-06 (a personal best).

The boys 4×400 meter relay team finished fifth with a time of 4:56.35.

The girls 4×100 meter relay team finished fifth with a time of 57.74 and was sixth in the 4×200 meter relay with a time of 2:02. 59.

The team’s next meet will be held on Thursday, March 30 at Harold “Hoss” Memtsas Stadium in Harvey.
