Two Los Angeles-area residents have been arrested in connection with a large-scale cargo theft operation that authorities say involved reselling stolen goods online.
The Los Angeles Police Department identified the suspects as 25-year-old Hannah Noto of North Hills and 26-year-old Jude Bigay of Sunland.
Alleged Scheme Involving Online Resales
According to investigators, the pair admitted to defrauding multiple clothing companies and selling stolen merchandise through the live-stream shopping platform Whatnot.
Authorities say the operation involved acquiring stolen cargo and quickly reselling it to unsuspecting buyers online.
Warehouse Raid Uncovers Massive Haul
Police executed a search warrant at a warehouse on Stagg Street in Van Nuys, where they discovered more than 55 pallets of stolen goods.
The recovered items included products from major brands such as SKIMS, Alo, Ariat, Milwaukee Tool, Dyson, Duracell, and Ninja.
The total estimated value of the stolen merchandise is around $1 million.
Wider Investigation Across Los Angeles
The LAPD’s Commercial Crimes Division — Cargo Theft Task Force — carried out additional search warrants in North Hills, West Los Angeles, and Sunland as part of the investigation.
Authorities say the case highlights the growing link between organized cargo theft and online resale platforms.
