A 10-year-old boy and a 42-year-old woman are in serious condition after a four-wheeler crash Friday night in St. Charles Parish.

Details of the Crash

According to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred just before 8 p.m. at the intersection of Palomino Drive and Mustang Lane in St. Rose. A nearby home’s video captured the moments leading up to the crash.

The 10-year-old was driving the four-wheeler with the 42-year-old woman as a passenger. As they traveled north on Palomino Drive, the vehicle veered off into the grass on Mustang Lane, crossed the street, and struck a stop sign. Both the driver and the passenger were thrown from the vehicle.

The four-wheeler continued moving, hitting a tree before falling onto its side.

Hospitalization and Condition

Both individuals were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The 10-year-old boy and the woman, both from St. Rose, remain hospitalized in serious condition.
